Marc DuTroux & Organised & Institutionalised Depravity

.

Hi,

I was recently provided with this following information from the internet from an anonymised source.

I can NOT vouchsafe either the source nor the accuracy of the details and most clearly not the links given BUT after reading the document and following several of the links I find it to seem to be accurate and informed, in accord with other reading and research I have carried out relative to Marc DuTroux and his associated paedophile and trafficking activities and his associates.

I thank both the anonymous supplier of the material to me and the compiler of this dossier, who may or may not be one and the same.

I reproduce the material here as I believe it deserves the very widest of audiences minded of the caveat that I do NOT vouch for the veracity of the material though believ it to be largely true and accurate and for that reason I pass it on in good faith.

Wikipedia entry on Marc Dutroux: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Dutroux (read especially about the parts in “failures of the system”).

Marc Dutroux is a Belgian convicted pedophile rapist and (serial?) killer, now confined to prison for life. What is strange is that there were numerous allegations of a network/ring, with elite people in Belgium, even in France and the Netherlands alleged to be perpetrators (witnesses and others allege). The Belgian police and judicial authorities made many, many “blunders” in investigations (as well as not investigating incriminating and obvious leads, evidence, etc, such as hairs not being tested, DNA results not being shown, tip offs ignored by police, judges and others who were investigating a possible ring were sacked, as well as more than twenty witnesses and other informants who died mysteriously right before going forward with evidence; one person who was officially labeled as dying from a heart attack was in fact shown to have been poisoned, others threatened with murders and “accidents”, lots of witnesses committing “suicide”, all right before giving evidence to police). The investigative judge, Connerotte, who rescued two of the raped girls who were kidnapped by Dutroux and his accomplices, was sacked because he believed there was a gang or mafia related pedophile ring that reached high levels of elite. Lots of evidence and facts point that there is a pedophile ring, with Michel Nihoul being a possible ringleader. Nihoul and others have enjoyed a lot of protection from the government.

Another very strange thing is the fact that Dutroux had already been a convicted rapist in the 80s, after raping at least 5 children (girls). He only served a mere few years out of 12 years. Shortly after getting out, in the early 90s, he was at it again, and allegedly selling girls abroad, to other traffickers. He constructed an elaborate cell, dungeon, in which he raped and held girls. What is very strange is that he was released so early for the rape of 5 children, and that police already had him on a suspect list and yet when children went missing, of which he was named a possible suspect, he was not investigated for over a year, even after tip offs (from his mother, that he was holding girls at his house, and other tips). The police eventually went there, and heard sounds of children shouting (which were actually the victims), but accepted Dutroux’s excuse that the sounds were just children playing outside, while knowing this guy was already a convicted child rapist and suspect and they had already received tip-offs at that point. But oh, no, they “couldn’t” search for or find them. While the police were there, Dutroux in fact had two girls hostage in his underground, hidden dungeon cell. When the girls were finally found, later, it was too late and they were dead. Two more were found buried in his garden, they had been raped and buried alive. Two girls were freed, alive, but had been raped: Sabinne Dardenne and Laetitia Delhez.

Dutroux already had criminal ties to Michel Nihoul (car thefts and drug trafficking in Belgium and to Eastern Europe<– red flag! they may have known sex trafficking connections), a businessman and pedophile, who organized orgy parties of which high level people too part of (police, judges, EU politician, etc), and in which witnesses say children were raped. Witnesses also say there were sadomasochistic rapes and even murders done, that Nihoul organized or was a part of, and in which a younger Dutroux was a part of as well. There were tapes found at one of Dutroux’s 7 houses, one of which shows Dutroux raping a child in Slovakia, and pornographic pictures of gypsy children. Witnesses said that Dutroux and Nihoul and the ring had plans of trafficking children to and from Eastern Europe.

Here is what Connerote, the initial investigative judge in the case, who rescued the two live girls, said about being threatened because of the truth being suppressed:

“On the witness stand, Jean-Marc Connerotte, the original judge of the case, broke down in tears when he described “the bullet-proof vehicles and armed guards needed to protect him against the shadowy figures determined to stop the full truth coming out. Never before in Belgium has an investigating judge at the service of the king been subjected to such pressure. We were told by police that [murder] contracts had been taken out against the magistrates.” Connerotte testified that the investigation was seriously hampered by protection of suspects by people in the government. “Rarely has so much energy been spent opposing an inquiry,” he said. He believed that the Mafia had taken control of the case.[6]

The Belgian people were so frustrated at the failing judicial and law enforcement systems that they, along with the victims’ parents, protested: more than 300,000 Belgians protested in their capital, Brussels, in what was called the White March: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_March

Here is a 1235-paged document WikiLeaks released in 2009, although it is in French (I will be working on translating this, if any others want to as well, that would be great!). There are testimonies of witnesses and connections and facts written in it, some rather shocking:

What is going on in the nation in which the European Union and NATO are headquartered? The truth that has been suppressed needs to come out.

Belgians furious as child killer Marc Dutroux’s wife Michelle Martin is freed
AP | Wednesday 29 August 2012

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/belgians-furious-as-child-killer-marc-dutrouxs-wife-michelle-martin-is-freed-8091716.html

A woman who let two eight-year-old girls starve in a cellar and helped her paedophile husband carry out horrific abuse of others went from prison to a convent amid outrage from Belgians over the early release of one of the country’s most despised criminals.

The nation’s highest court approved Michelle Martin’s release after she served 16 years of a 30-year prison term for her role in the mid-1990s kidnappings, rapes and killings by her then-husband Marc Dutroux.

Martin left prison in an unmarked vehicle for a Clarisse convent in Malonne, a 45-mile trip south of the capital Brussels, where her lawyer said she would seek atonement for her crimes. More than 100 people hurled insults at her as she arrived, some trying to break through police barriers.

“There is only one word for this. This is simply absurd. But I will have to accept it,” said Paul Marchal, whose daughter An was one of Dutroux’s victims. “Concerning Martin, my fight is over and done. I lost.” [emphasis mine[/b]

Martin’s lawyer, Thierry Moreau, insisted that his 52-year-old client deserved a shot at a better life.

“There is something human remaining in Mrs Martin, even though she acknowledges herself she is responsible for very serious acts,” Mr Moreau said.

“She paid the price for it. She did it in respect of the law, and now there is this project where she wants to redeem herself and this will be another way to do her sentence.”

The Dutroux case horrified the nation and led to widespread changes in Belgian police procedures. Police had visited the home twice in the mid-1990s and did not find the kidnapped girls, although they heard voices, and ignored a letter from Dutroux’s mother that expressed concern her son was abusing young girls.

Dutroux, an unemployed electrician and convicted paedophile on parole at the time of the crimes, was arrested in 1996 and convicted eight years later of abducting, imprisoning and raping six girls between the summers of 1995 and 1996. He was also found guilty of murdering two of the six girls, aged eight to 19.

The last two of Dutroux’s kidnap victims were found alive in his basement a few days after his arrest.

Martin was accused of conspiracy in the kidnappings and imprisonment leading to the deaths of the two starved girls, who were held in a secret dungeon specially built in a cellar. Martin said she had been too scared to go into the cellar to feed them while Dutroux was serving a four-month jail term for car theft.

A year after they were kidnapped, the bodies of the two were found in the garden of a house that Dutroux owned.

Martin has depicted herself as a passive culprit of psychopath Dutroux, but was blamed for aiding her husband when he went on a depraved and murderous spree and letting the young girls die.

The prospect of her release had spawned demonstrations in the past few weeks, with demands to keep her in jail.

Several policemen were stationed near the convent even before the verdict was announced and fluorescent graffiti nearby protesting at Martin’s arrival was removed.

At a religious statue near the gate, teddy bears sat next to a picture of the two eight-year-old girls who starved to death in Dutroux’s dungeon in 1996.

The lawyer for Jean-Denis Lejeune, whose daughter Julie was one of the girls who starved to death, said the families would work to change the law that allowed Martin’s early release and make sure victims get a bigger say how long convicted criminals have to stay behind bars.

“We will first have to ask the politicians to change the law and, secondly, we will have to go to Strasbourg,” where the European Court of Human Rights can still have an impact, said lawyer Georges-Henri Beauthier.

That process could take years, however.

Neighbours of the convent worried about Martin’s influence. A children’s school is close by.

“My children are studying here,” said Malonne resident Fabienne Huboaux. “We are afraid, afraid to see what is going to happen with them when they are going to go to class.”

The sinister Marc Dutroux cover-up
« Reply #6 on: November 13, 2012, 06:22:52 AM »
I’ve checked this page and it is indeed true according to the facts. One of the reasons why I and countless others believe this case needs to be reopen and is still relevant today is due to the fact that many people involved in the case (Nihoul, Martin, Diakostavrianos, Tony, and others not mentioned by media but lots of proof in police files, etc) are freely roaming today, still doing God knows what…

The sinister Marc Dutroux cover-up (part one)

It’s worth reminding ourselves of the events surrounding Belgian paedophile abductor Marc Dutroux. Institutions that are meant to protect society can sometimes contribute to misdeeds of the most sinister kind. The Dutroux case was characterised by deliberate police incompetence and behind-the-scenes murder of witnesses.

In June 1995, two eight-year-old friends, Julie Lejeune and Melissa Russo, walked to a bridge to wave at the traffic, a regular pastime of theirs. They never came home. In stark contrast to the Madeleine McCann saga this year, the case attracted little attention, including from the police.

The families were soon disillusioned by the non-committed and lacklustre police investigation and hired a private investigator to look into things. The person came up with a profile that was passed on to the police investigators. It reported that the person responsible would probably be unemployed and very methodical.

There were only five suspects in Belgium who matched the drawn-up profile of the abductor at that time. One of them was Marc Dutroux, who had been convicted in 1989 for the abduction and rape of five young girls. He had been released in 1992 after serving only three years of a 13-year sentence.

Following his release, Dutroux began constructing a dungeon under his house in preparation for his coming spree of abduction. He was determined to escape detection this time and fine-tuned the underground cells to frightening perfection. The cages even had air vents in them. His ex-wife, Michelle Martin, slapped a happy coat of paint on the walls.

Meanwhile, the man who had returned Dutroux to society, Justice Minister Melchior Wathelet, was “rewarded with a prestigious appointment to serve as a judge at the European Court of Justice at The Hague”.

At the time of the first disappearance, evidence pointing to Dutroux had already come in. Two years earlier, investigators had heard from a man who was renting one of Dutroux’s properties. He had driven around with Dutroux who, upon noticing a girl walking down a street, had said: “There’s a fresh one.” Dutroux talked of the money to be made selling girls into slavery and offered the man money if he assisted him in the project.

The man was disturbed enough by this to file a complaint to the police within the very next hour. It was handled by one of three different police agencies in Belgium, similar to what we have in South Africa with the Scorpions. This particular agency was to receive plenty of useful tip-offs in the months ahead — enough, in fact, to bring the investigation to an immediate close.

But the agency failed to act on the information. Neither did it pass anything on to the “rival” police force, clutching its secrets close to its chest.

In 1995, the agency not only had knowledge of Dutroux’s disturbing comments to a tenant about abducting girls, but actually also knew that he was busy with his dungeon. The previous informer had come forward with this information at the beginning of the year.

So, in June 1995, we have girls starting to disappear and compelling pointers in the direction of a convicted paedophile who has built a dungeon under his house.

The response? Dutroux isn’t even brought in for questioning. Maybe they thought he wanted to store some spare tools in the air-ventilated cellar.

Out of sight, other events were under way to suppress information. This information was not reported on at the time, but only surfaced in newspapers five years later.

In 2002, the BBC wrote: “Bruno Tagliaferro, a Charleroi scrap-metal merchant who knew Dutroux, claimed to know something about the car in which Julie and Melissa were kidnapped. But he was soon found dead, apparently of a heart attack.”

A rather suspicious heart attack, under the circumstances.

His wife also thought so and “refused to accept the verdict and arranged for his body to be exhumed. Samples sent to the US for analysis showed he’d been poisoned.”

But this tragic fate of the scrap-metal merchant who knew something about Dutroux was soon to extend to his wife.

The BBC added: “Soon after, her teenage son found her dead at home in her bed, her mattress smouldering. Publicly it was declared suicide, or an accident.”

It’s difficult to imagine how someone can accidentally set themselves alight in their bed, and surely the technique is rather outlandish for a suicide.

The BBC reported in 2002 that there had (at that stage) already been 20 such peculiar deaths surrounding the case: chiefly witnesses and informants due to give evidence in court in the build-up to the trial in 2004.

The removal of witnesses shows a resourceful and powerful strategy at work by a group operating almost on Mafia-type levels.

But let’s return to that awful 1995, when in August two more girls, 17-year-old An Marchal and 19-year-old Eefie Lambreckk, went missing during a vacation to seaside town Ostende. The police there treated the worried parents with scorn after they registered their disappearance and mockingly said the girls were probably out somewhere on an “adventure”.

They neglected to mention that two of their officers were part of that adventure. In 2004, Dutroux claimed in court that two police officers had assisted him with this kidnapping.

Small wonder then that the official investigation was going nowhere. The investigators failed even to see any connection with the June disappearance. Once again the aggrieved parents resorted to posters and banners, dissatisfied with the manner of the official channels of investigation.

A few weeks after the disappearance of the girls, the police agency that was already sitting on crucial information received something more. It was strong enough to lead to the immediate arrest of Dutroux and recovery of the four missing children.

In their post, a letter from Marc Dutroux’s mother. She wrote that she was concerned about her son, because he was keeping two girls, aged 17 and 19, in a dungeon under his house.

Oh, that’s pretty helpful stuff, isn’t it? So guess what they do?

Nothing, nothing at all.

It’s a disturbing picture of police irregularity that gets all the murkier as this case progresses. How is it possible to explain behaviour such as this? This cannot be fed under the mere bracket of “gross incompetence”.

It certainly set the tone for the most damning and tragic moment of “incompetence” in all of the investigation, which we will look at in part two

The sinister Marc Dutroux cover-up (part 2)
This is the second part in our investigation of the sinister police mishaps surrounding the case of Marc Dutroux.  In December 1995, Dutroux was arrested for stealing a car. While in custody, plans were made for the search of his house. Hearing about this proposed search, the “rival” police agency gate crashed the investigation and took over the plans for the search.

Remember, this was the agency that already knew about Dutroux’s dungeon and that he was keeping two girls down there. Dutroux’s mother had filled the agency in.

So here it was finally taking action, getting involved directly after months of inexplicable hibernation. “Getting involved” and “intervening” are concepts not too far apart in the case of this investigative agency.

It had also been watching Dutroux’s house for months in a project called “Operation Othello”. Now the chief investigative officer demanded to conduct the search himself, saying in motivation that he had been watching Dutroux and “knew” him. Permission was duly granted and the chief inspected the house accompanied only by a locksmith.

If it weren’t for this locksmith, who was to give testimony much later, we would never have known what happened during this strange and fateful visit.

The men found the secret entrance to the basement and went down there. Down below, an unusual discovery: chains and *l cream. Suddenly came the clearly audible cries of two young girls. It was impossible to miss.

The police officer’s immediate and strange reaction was to hiss: “Silence,” after which the cries died down. The locksmith alerted the chief to the fact that they had just heard crying. The chief said: “Who’s doing the investigation here?”

Some videos were also found. The men departed the scene, leaving behind two girls — the ones that had been kidnapped in August 2005. The girls had been held captive in a cell that wouldn’t allow further width than open elbows and went only as high as one’s navel — for four months. One person was to comment afterwards that one wouldn’t even keep a dog in a cage such as this.

With Dutroux temporarily in custody, the girls stopped being fed. Dutroux’s ex-wife, Michelle Martin, merely dumped the food near the door, saying later she was afraid the children would attack her. The two were unable to reach the food and slowly starved to death.

Their parents were to be in those very cages months later. They noticed that one of the girls had managed to scribble a last word on the wall with her nails in the slow moments before death. One of the journalists covering the case said that one of the most moving moments he experienced was when he saw the parents hutched down together holding hands in that horrific cell, in tears.

The police officer viewed the videos from Dutroux’s dungeon. At the very least, that’s what he did.

Seeing as he had disregarded the cries of the girls and didn’t find the presence of chains and *l cream odd in the basement of a convicted paedophile, it was small wonder how he responded to what he came across in the videos. On the tapes: a recording of one of the parents’ plea on TV to find their missing daughter. Another video showed Dutroux building his dungeon.

Add to this the testimony of Dutroux’s mother, and you surely had enough to pin Dutroux.

But once again, we find “incompetence” descending to twisted depths. The videos were discarded by the officer as “unimportant”. Operation Othello, the stake-out of Dutroux’s house, got called off.

Dutroux was cleared of any suspicion. After a four-month sentence for the stolen vehicle at the beginning of 1996, he was back out. Now he was no longer being watched, free to continue where he had left off.

Soon there would be new girls in the dungeon.

We will conclude with this report in part three.

The sinister Marc Dutroux cover-up (part 3)

This is the final part of our Marc Dutroux investigation.

Paedophile Dutroux’s support system in law enforcement and legal circles came into their own as the case wound up. I think it’s important to place these facts out in the open once more for public evaluation because much information is buried in “conspiracy” sites.

In April 1996, Dutroux ended his four-month sentence for car theft and promptly carried on where he had left off. As we saw in part two, Operation Othello, the watching of his house, had been called off by police officer Rene Michaux.

This man had been down to the dungeon himself and heard the screams of the two then-alive girls. He had ignored and even hushed up the screams, according to the locksmith who accompanied him. Years later in court, Michaux claimed that he thought the cries were coming from outside, in the street!

The face of this sinister police officer bears that strange flicker of evil that paedophiles are prone to exhibit. He played a central role in keeping attention away from Dutroux when the latter started abducting girls. By calling off the watching of his house, he kept up his good work by clearing the way for Dutroux to continue.

Dutroux didn’t waste any time. Within a month of his release, he abducted 12-year-old Sabine Dardenne. Her disappearance was to remain a mystery to the police. Small wonder, as an outgoing magistrate hadn’t even bothered to inform her replacement of the ongoing missing girls’ cases.

In August 1996, 14-year-old Laetitia Delhez was abducted. Dutroux claimed later in court that it was for “company” for his other captive.

This time the community swung into action and the local police force became passionately involved in the search, a definite departure from the behaviour we’ve seen of their compatriots in other regions. The result was that information about a suspicious van came forward. A match was obtained to Dutroux through a partially remembered licence plate. He had finally been caught.

Dutroux led them to his dungeon early on a Monday morning. The 14-year-old who had been abducted six days earlier was found. The discovery of the other girl who had been there for two months was surprising to some.

As the girls were freed from the cage, they ran to hug and kiss Dutroux, who apparently enjoyed the moment. They had been brainwashed into thinking that Dutroux was protecting them from “bad people”. These were now the bad people that had arrived to come get them.

It is important to highlight the role of the investigative Judge, Jean-Marc Connerotte. He was apparently instrumental in securing the arrest of Dutroux and greatly admired by the public when it became clear he was practically a lone ranger surrounded by criminal incompetence.

In August, Connerotte appealed for other victims of paedophile rings to come forward with testimony.

Thirty-three-year-old Regina Louf responded. She described various orgies she had attended in her youth in detail and named a prominent Belgian businessman, Jean-Michel Nihoul, as the chief organiser. She had also seen a young Dutroux there. She described a house in detail and a murder she had seen at a “sex slave” party in 1984.

Dutroux alleged from the beginning that he was not acting alone, saying that Nihoul was the actual “brains” of the operation. The authorities were determined not to believe him.

Here’s how an Observer reporter, who did an excellent piece in 2002, described her meeting with Nihoul prior to his arrest: “During the course of our meal he, apparently playfully, grabbed me, tickling, and finally pulled me over on to him in the restaurant booth until I had to appeal to my colleagues for rescue.”

He had greeted her by saying he was the “monster of Belgium”.

A playful monster, in other words.

“He has all but dared the state to prosecute him,” said the BBC, “claiming that he is beyond the reach of the law because he has information that, if made public, ‘would bring the government and the entire state down’.”

In custody Nihoul confessed to “organising an orgy at a Belgium chateau, which several government officials, police officers and a former European commissioner attended”.

As victims started coming forward and confessing to sexual abuse in their youth and the same names kept popping up, the notion that Dutroux was acting alone was becoming less and less credible. The media were obviously in full swing by now, with the “House of horror” headlines we can all remember.

By mid-October, the citizens of Belgium were stirred to public outrage as details of the police mismanagement started appearing. “The Justice Ministry was sitting on a politically sensitive list of customers of paedophile videotapes,” said a report in the Los Angeles Times at the time. This list drifted into obscurity.

What tipped public outcry into mass protest was when “the investigative Judge in the Dutroux case, Jean-Marc Connerotte, was dismissed. Many Belgians viewed Connerotte as a hero because he secured the arrest of Marc Dutroux and collected significant evidence against him that would help convict Dutroux and those in his paedophile ring.

“Belgium’s Supreme Court removed Connerotte because he attended a fund-raising dinner, which was organised to help in the search for missing children. It was later decided that his attendance at the fund-raising event caused him to lose his objectivity when investigating the Dutroux case.”

The suspicious dismissal of Connerotte led to a remarkable march. Called the White March, it was the biggest public demonstration in Belgium since the Nüremberg trials. The public were given strong reassurances by the government of a shake-up of the police system and justice triumphing.

But this was not forthcoming. In fact, the opposite tendency was already gaining momentum, silently, away from public statements.

The removal of Connerotte complete, the network set to work at discrediting the testimony of Regina Louf. As mentioned, Louf had supplied details of a murder she had witnessed at a party attended by Dutroux and Nihoul.

Said the Observer: “Christine van Hees’s body had been found in 1984 dumped in the grounds of a disused mushroom farm on the outskirts of Brussels. The farm was later demolished, but in 1996 Louf described to the police team its intricate details, the wallpaper, the sinks, hooks on the ceiling, a network of stairs and adjoining rooms unique to that building.”

A man who grew up at the farm, the son of the former owner, showed the Observer reporter photographs of the house and the mushroom factory. “He said: ‘I have never met Regina Louf. All I know is that she could not have described the house as well as she did unless she’d been there. It was two houses joined together in a strange way. It would be impossible to invent it.’”

For 12 years the unsolved murder of Van Hees gathered dust in the Brussels files under the direction of Judge Van Espen. Two years ago, a Belgian journalist revealed the close relationship between Van Espen and Nihoul and his then wife.

As a lawyer, Van Espen had represented Nihoul’s wife. Van Espen’s sister was the godmother of Nihoul’s child. Yet, when Louf accused these two of the murder, Van Espen saw no conflict of interest and no reason to resign. Nor was he sacked, as Connerotte had been. Instead he was allowed to order the police officers to stay out of the case. Van Espen only resigned as the judge in charge of the mushroom-factory investigation in early 1998 after his relationship with Nihoul was exposed.

A strange co-incidence, isn’t it? No wonder it was so important to discredit Regina Louf, as she had evidence that not only connected Dutroux to Nihoul, but also Nihoul to very prominent judicial officials.

In its response, the network didn’t disappoint, coming out guns blazing.

Observer: “In the spring of 1997, Louf’s interrogators had been sent home without explanation and a new team was assigned to ‘reread’ her testimony. The press was briefed that the previous team had been removed because they had manipulated the evidence of Louf, who was then known by the code name X1. It is a charge which the police team has always vigorously denied and which has never been substantiated.”

But they weren’t finished yet.

“And then the media campaign began. Louf’s name was leaked to the press. The government-owned TV station RTBF began a campaign designed to prove that Dutroux was an ‘isolated pervert’ kidnapping girls for himself, that there was no network, that Nihoul was innocent and Louf was a liar.

“Belgium’s flagship current-affairs television programme, Au Nom de La Loi , floated Louf’s face over a backdrop of crows pecking over debris orchestrated by a Blair Witch-style soundtrack. Her ageing parents appeared as tragic victims of a deranged fantasist, whose false memories had blighted their last years.”

“What the programme makers knew but didn’t say was that the parents had already admitted to police that a family friend in his 40s, Tony van den Bogaert, had had a key to their home and unlimited access to their 12-year-old daughter. Nor did they tell their viewers that Van den Bogaert had himself admitted his relationship with Louf to police.

“Van den Bogaert lives freely on the borders of Belgium and Holland unmolested by the law or the press. Au Nom de La Loi has never attempted to track him down and expose this self-confessed paedophile. Instead it has devoted hours of airtime to destroying the name of his victim, Louf, whose only offence appears to be that she was prepared to testify about the organised abuse she’d suffered as a child.

“This campaign has succeeded. Judges have announced that Louf will not be called as a witness in any future trial of Dutroux or his associates. Her testimony and that of all the 10 witnesses who came forward to Judge Connerotte has been declared worthless.”

“Even the Prosecutor General of the Dutroux case, Anne Thily, seems to have been in on the shady action, saying that Louf was a ‘fantasist’ and had ‘invented everything’.

“Connerotte’s replacement, Judge Langlois, also parked his car in the same garage, because he blatantly refused permission for the hairs gathered in Dutroux’s dungeon to be sent for DNA analysis ‘despite pressure from his prosecutor, Michel Bourlet, who believed that a DNA identification of those hairs might reveal who else was involved’.”

His boss Thily backed him all the way.

“There was no need to get the hairs analysed as no one else entered the cage,” she said. “There was no network so there was no need to look for evidence of one.”

What ingenious rubbish. Bad scriptwriters wouldn’t even be able to come up with something like this.

“In any case,” she continued, “the hairs have all now been analysed — all 5 000.”

And the results of this analysis? asked the Observer reporter.

“Nothing.”

Thily flashed a “triumphant” smile at the reporter.

She concluded: “No evidence of any relevance in the Dutroux affair. Which proves, of course, that Langlois was right all along.”

The Observer reporter had done her homework.

“Sources central to the investigation confirm that to date the hairs have still not been analysed.”

The reporter caught Thily out again when she said that “the bodies were too decomposed to test for DNA”.

“The autopsy states clearly that the bodies were not decomposed,” said the reporter. “Samples were taken. But no one seems to know what has happened to the results.”

So yes, the picture by now had gotten much murkier, with a return to the former “incompetence” that had so tragically been manifested before. The Dutroux case had been hijacked yet again, this time by the chief prosecutor.

Behind the scenes, the murder of potential witnesses was occurring by now. Publicly the cause of death was all declared “suicide”. Things take a rather macabre turn when you hear that even Nihoul’s dentist committed “suicide”.

But back to the official side of the case. Here, under the dodgy auspices of Judge Langlois of “no DNA” fame, the investigation took on another pace altogether. The citizens of Belgium were basically being dealt a collective slap in the face as the trial stalled and crawled along — for another eight years.

Here’s the excuse for the delay.

The Observer: “The official explanation for the delay is that hysterical conspiracy theories forced investigators to search for paedophile networks which didn’t exist.”

Oh, there we go again. Dutroux acted alone.

“But far from being investigated, leads pointing to a network seem rather to have been ignored or buried.”

Even though Dutroux “acted alone”, he still apparently had some friends willing to lend a hand, because in 1997 the prison “allowed Dutroux to leave the building to consult files that would be used in his upcoming trial”. Dutroux used the opportunity and “overpowered a police officer that was guarding him, and escaped for three hours”.

As late as March 18 2004, “a handcuff key was found in Dutroux’s cell, apparently smuggled in a salt bag. Prison authorities were accused to trying to arrange Dutroux’s escape.”

The year 2004 finally saw the sentencing of Dutroux. He obviously — or under the circumstances, perhaps one should say surprisingly — got a life sentence.

His ex-wife Michelle Martin, the woman who stopped feeding the youngsters in the dungeon because she was “afraid of them”, got 30 years. Accomplice businessman Michel Lelievre got 25 years.

The monster of Belgium, Nihoul, got a mere five years. He must have been thrilled. That means, by the end of the year, he’ll be back among us.

The aftermath of this whole affair leaves one with a troubling picture of how dark deeds can flourish in very influential circles. It’s surely little comfort to the bereaved families to know that the full picture of this monstrous episode may never fully emerge.

If indeed Dutroux was part of a much bigger network, as seems likely when one looks at the evidence, then most of its members escaped detection. It seems bizarre to think that such a network can exist and include politicians and other highly placed members of society. It takes quite some machinery to deflect the outraged attention of an entire country. But they managed it.

By 2002, the citizens who had taken part in the march were no longer being hailed but called a “mob” in certain newspapers. The rehabilitation had been exhaustively applied.

Dutroux acted alone! That’s the official version that wants to house itself in our collective memory.

The journalists who pierced the fabric of this complicated cover-up and exposed the dishonesty reeling in its wake have done their community a great service. We can be lucky that we live in a time when it is more difficult to conceal facts than a few decades ago. And yet so much remains unanswered, buried in the pile of yesterday’s papers. The general public don’t hold their interest for long, as we’re seeing with the Madeleine McCann saga.

It’s bitter to discover that Rene Michaux, the police officer who took that fateful trip down the stairs to the dungeon and heard the screams, was never even charged. He’s almost 60 now and is probably hoping to take his secrets to his grave.

The others who were involved appear, for the time being, to have gotten away with it. Many of them may even be flourishing in state and judicial circles all over Europe, which might explain why the McCann investigation has been such a tragic mess.

Sobering words from a Belgian former congressman and senator:

“Imagine, everywhere you hear that story about a blackmail dossier in which organizations of the extreme right are in the possession of pictures and videos on which a number of prominent people in and around Brussels have sex with young girls; minors it is said. The existence of this dossier has always been vehemently denied. Until it was proven that testimonies and videos of this affair indeed were in the possession of the police services. An officer of the judicial police (Marnette, H.G.) denied the existence of these videos, while afterwards this person’s superior admitted that they did exist, that they were kept with the judicial police in Brussels, but that they were completely worthless. Strange, because this stuff needs to be deposited with the registrar and not be kept in the possession of some police service. Subsequently, examining magistrate Jean-Marie Schlicker confirms that this dossier does indeed exist, but that he wishes not to give any testimonies about it. The at first non-existing dossier turns out to exist. The videos without substance then turn out to be interesting enough after all to be handed over to the examining magistrate tasked with the investigation into the Gang of Nijvel. But this person subsequently is afraid to testify about that! What do you think that has been going on here?”

-September 1989, Congressman Hugo Coveliers, secretary of the special investigating committee tasked with evaluating the way gangsterism and terrorism is combated in Belgium (1988-1990), to Humo magazine (1990, Hugo Gijsels, ‘De Bende & Co’, p. 133-134). Coveliers became a senator in 1995.

Discouraging yet revealing words allegedly from Former CIA director William Colby:

“What you have to understand, John, is that sometimes there are forces and events too big, too powerful, with so much at stake for other people or institutions, that you cannot do anything about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are and no matter how dedicated or sincere you are or how much evidence you have. This is simply one of the hard facts of life you have to face.”

– Former CIA director and Cercle member William Colby giving advice to his friend senator John DeCamp, urging to quit his investigations into the Franklin child abuse affair and to write a book about his experiences (The Franklin Coverup, 2nd edition, foreword).

We the People of the Earth need to keep standing up to this madness! After all, “we are the 99%”.

“The Brotherhood cannot be wiped out because it is not an organisation in the ordinary sense. Nothing holds it together except an idea which is indestructible.” -1984

unbeliveable for most of parents – this is an punch into the face of the parents. that just shows:

“see what I can do, I can do what i want”

Michelle Martin went shopping in Knokke

It has emerged that Michelle Martin went shopping in the seaside resort of Knokke-Heist last week.

Martin is the former wife of the convicted child sex killer Marc Dutroux. She was also convicted on manslaughter charges.

She went to gaol following a conviction on manslaughter charges after she was held responsible for deprivation leading to death when she failed to provide food and drink for two of Dutroux’ victims locked up in the cellar of her home. She was released early this year.

In Knokke Martin was not only sighted on the promenade, she apparently also went to a top class hairdresser’s.

The Mayor of Knokke, Count Leopold Lippens, said he was puzzled that he had not been notified of Martin’s visit. Since her controversial early release from prison Martin has been staying with nuns at their convent in Malonne in Wallonia.

Mayor Lippens told VRT News: “I thought she would be staying in the nunnery. I’m not very happy about this. What if she met relatives of the victims on the seafront?”

Mr Lippens also reportedly said: “It’s a scandal that somebody like that can parade on the seafront unhindered. Let her wander about in the garden of the convent of Malonne. She has no business here.”

By visiting Knokke Michelle Martin hasn’t violated the conditions of her early release. She is not allowed to visit the provinces of Limburg or Luxembourg where her victims come from or seek contact with the family of her victims, but West Flanders shouldn’t be a problem.

Mr Lippens’s words didn’t go down too well with Flemish editorialists. On Thursday Het Nieuwsblad wrote that his reaction was totally unjustified, while Het Laatste Nieuws says that his intervention is an attack on a state with a rule of law.

Het Nieuwsblad’s Liesbeth Van Impe says that we either accept the rule of law or undermine the rule of law by insisting that Martin is never released.

Michelle Martin’s lawyer is considering a complaint against Mayor Lippens as his client is free to go wherever she wants.

The father of one of the victims, Jean Lambrecks, sticks up for Mr Lippens saying that he believes that the visit to the coast was a sordid affair. Eefje’s father also attacks the fact that Martin had herself declared without means, but that she has the money to go to Knokke: “In sixteen years in gaol she saved 40,000 euros. She’s got enough money for a VIP treatment in Knokke.”

A coincidence is that the witness X1 is from Knokke and stated that her abuse and exploitation started in Knokke…she and another witness claimed having been raped by Lippens, Jean-Michel Nihoul and others, some of them friends/acquaintances of Lippens.

Also, Carine Dellaert (mentioned in the document) was found dead (murdered if I recall correctly) in the early 90’s; X1 and others stated in the document that Carine was a victim in this ring as well.

Here are the parts on this Dutroux document leak by WL that mention the Lippens (Leopold Lippens, his brother and someone else related), that have been translated so far. These are statements and findings written down by investigators. It’s not known how much truth there is to these witnesses’ testimonies, but there could be truth to it.
The sentences in red italics are the investigators’ notes in the leaked document, not mine, just to clarify. I tried to post the following as closest to how it appears in the document.

that a blond horse-rider raped her as well as EVA during a hunting party in DINANT.
– X2 speaks of what EVA had entrusted her with in 1987 about a certain LILIANE of
BRUSSELS to whom one should restore the land.
note: see the declaration of WAETERSCHOOT regarding bodies that have been
buried in the park of a castle. LILIANNE could be Lilianne de RETHY and the castle mentioned
by WAET. Could it be be hers????

– X2 specifies that she was brought to  ALEXANDRE to play cards.
note: WAETERSCHOOT cites that her aggressor is Alexandre de Mérode. There may be a link
with the Alexander mentioned here???

– X2 recounts that everything had ended in 1990.
– X2 speaks of a certain CASTIAUX
