#G0478* – OLYMPIC TORCH DESIGN ORIGINS
I presume it is a copy of a Vuvuzella to remind Britain how well we did inSouth Africa!
At least it can be replicated as a cheese grater or perhaps a ‘cheezy greater’!
South Africa chose the shape to show their links with the indigenous peoples of Papua New Guinea & their clothing!
It so fits in with the embarrassing mascot & the idiotic logo.
Who will get tickets besides politicians, councillors & international free loaders – paid for by the tax payers of their impoverished countries.
Do YOU remember who won the running round in circles competition last time?
Or the leaping up in the air competition?
Or even the tripping over hurdles competition?
Even the avid watchers of the ladies beach volley ball would be hard pressed to remember the winning team or name the Captain of the first 3 teams!
No frankly no one much cares except people like The BBC ** who sent 100s on a jolly at tax payers’ expense with loads of Council wastrels, to Australia just to film it for the winners Mum – There are only about 5 events anyone really cares about – just who is interested in the lopsided leg race on bikes?
Well are YOU genuinely interested?
Nor I and I was into competitive Rugby and also athletics not to mention various other sports, but who cares!
** The BBC was so embarrassed at the £Millions it squandered that it even blocked a Freedom of Information Act as to how much it had wasted of tax payers’ money CLICK HERE
Colin Clifton Director of BBC Internet Services, speaking for The BBC at one tiome said of the Chinese Olympics ‘they left a bad taste in the mouth after all the £Millions had spent on coverage’ CLICK HERE.
The winter ice sliding attracted 3 BBC staff for every competitor and the sunnier summer games had way more people funded from the public purse than athletes and even though there was a passable audience for the opening ceremony (Saturday Night at The paladium writ large! AND JUST AS TASTELESS among the starving peoples of the world!) Audiences for the rest of the games did not justify the cost or the tedium!
“In politics, stupidity is not a handicap.”

British Politicians with pens and treachery, in pursuit of their own agenda and greed, have done more damage to the liberty, freedoms, rights and democracy of the British peoples than any army in over 1,000 years.
The disastrous effects of British politicians selling Britain into the thrall of foreign rule by the EU for their own personal rewards has damaged the well-being of Britain more than the armies of Hitler and the Franco – German – Italian axis of 1939 – 1945.
