Are you still waiting to see how much Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are going to charge for their jams and jellies

No – I couldn’t give a stuff what they charge for pots of jam, that they have had made for them, which they dishonourably use Harry’s inherited and much abused title to brand for profit.

I understand his father markets jam also,  but in the name of the estate that produces it and I understand its ridiculous price, about £30 a pot I believe, is justified by donating the profits to charity.

Are Harry & Meghan in a Right Royal Jam, now they are clearly unwelcome in Britain, having made themselves as popular as pork chops in a synagogue, by belittling and betraying Harry’s family, Britain and the very titles he was allowed to keep – no one forgives or forgets outright betrayal & total lies, it always backfires and leads to permanent damage, however people try to pretend it doesn’t.

Now they are clearly in exile and with no route back due to their vituperative behaviour they have no income to maintain their profligate and self-indulgent lifestyle as top end grifters – save fronting for a brand of Jam, and probably more frippery and tasteless junk to come!

My wife makes all the jam we eat (very little) and gives away around 100 jars of jam and marmalade. But we USE around 1 to 2 jars of her homemade chutney a week – mostly rhubarb, and we also give away about 2 tons of apples a year, mostly Bramleys.

We eat most of our strawberries fresh as both of us dislike strawberry jam as it tends to be far too sweet as so much sugar is used due to the lack of pectin. The same is true of the raspberries and unfortunately the blackbirds all have diaries here in The Forest of Dean, they must have, they turn up early in the morning on the day we plan to pick the black currants, red currants, raspberries, cherries and gooseberries the days on which they are ripe and pick the lot if we aren’t lucky!

The blackbird flock clear about 6kg of black and red currants, 5kg of raspberries and 3 kg of gooseberries!

Our chickens eat ALL the windfall apples, damsons and plums – we fight the wasps for the plums and damsons that do ripen!

May I point out to any would-be gardeners that growing your own veggies and fruit doesn’t pay except for a few exceptions – at the time your own potatoes are lifted the local farmers are selling big sacks of spuds for £3>5 and when your apples are ripe the farmers’ trees are getting broken due to the weight of the crop they are happy to let neighbours pick for their own use and so on!

We lost our spud crop to spud worms last year, so we are resting the ground this year and we still have a freezer FULL of runner beans and broad beans!

Unfortunately, CO2 is dangerously low at around 400 parts per million which is only 0.04% of our atmosphere, if only it would rise back to over 1,200ppm plant/crop growth would be much better and with the cool period we are experiencing the growing period for crops is shortened.

If only Climate Crisis wasn’t a total fraud we would all be so very much better off. Already we are well aware how this cooling has led to warm weather being erroneously described as hot – are you aware that most of mankind lives in temperatures about 5C hotter than Europe, North America and Russia?

A general warming period that made these areas around 4C warmer would save a fortune in insulation and oil for fuel to warm our homes. Fortunately with both drilling and fracking Oil is the second most common fluid on earth and is being continuously produced, mankind isn’t sure how, at around 35,000+ feet underground on the verge of The Mantle where rocks seem to be constantly very hot and rather plastic by nature. Fortunately, Oil seems to be so abundant that we need have no concern of it ever running out.

One would not be wrong to say the Net Zero is a total fraud, there is net zero scientific evidence let alone proof that there is any glimmer of a climate crisis, there is proof sea levels are NOT rising, tonnage and area of ice in Antarctica is increasing, the Northwest Passage is still in a frozen state yet you could sail around it from the Atlantic to the Pacific less than 100 years ago – Europe is markedly colder than it was in the Medieval Warm Period and before that in the Roman era.

As a point of fact perhaps it is not common knowledge that in fact even taking just the period since we have had accurate satellite measurements – not so very long – it is a measurable fact that in fact the planet’s land mass is clearly increasing, this is proven by the many miles by which the interface between land and sea has actually increased!

Interestingly areas of drought, flooding and fire are much reduced relative to 100 years ago and both hurricanes and typhoons are less common now. Even with the alarming reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere to a mere 40-0ppm when in the past it exceeded 8,000ppm, we have within the last 150 years had a marked and measurable increase in green areas ie plant growth.

A part of this can be attributed to mankind’s good husbandry of the planet, management of herbivores for dairy produce, wool and meat and reduction of the massive herds that had for centuries surged across the grasslands on their migratory routes. Even mankind’s reduction of the great mammalian mammals in the sea has played its part as it has led to huge increases in such species as krill.
